Time is flying quickly and it is a great pleasure to welcome you again to Vienna for the 13th Vienna Interdisciplinary Symposium on Aortic Repair (VISAR). International experts from different medical specialties will provide state-of-the-art educational lectures and discuss the management of complications in the treatment of aortic diseases. The program once again consists on a well-balanced mixture of hands-on training sessions on different topics related to aortic therapy as well as case presentations and state-of-the-art lectures on complication management. The hands-on training sessions include wet-lab training as well as workshops dedicated to perioperative patient care like spinal fluid catheter, for example.
This year, we have also decided to implement the program “Bring your resident(s) with you“.
Each resident that accompanies you, will get a 50% reduction on the registration fee.
VISAR 2019 will focus mainly on 4 different topics:
- The Future of Aortic Disease – Political Aspects, Economic Aspects, Labor Aspects (EU, USA, Australia, Asia), Educational Aspects
- Aortic Arch – Endovascular has come of age, but is it up to challenge open surgery, and where
- Guidelines – Experience – Intuition – What matters in the Operating Theater?
- Thoracoabdominal aorta belongs in specialized centers – but what qualifies a specialized center?
