The International Journal of Cardiovascular Imaging: Call for Papers
Topical Issue on CT Plaque Burden Assessment

Over the past several years we have seen an increasing interest in coronary plaque burden assessment at this moment predominantly for clinical research. Major publications have been written about this subject and it has also been a topic of interest at associated congresses. With the increasing improvements in resolution of CT scanners, the decreasing radiation doses and the widespread availability in radiology and cardiology settings, it is clear that this topic will only become more important for diagnostic purposes, for prognostic purposes and for treatment guidance, among others.

The International Journal of Cardiovascular Imaging is planning a Topical Issue on CT plaque burden assessment under the leadership of guest editors Prof. James Min, Prof. Jeroen Bax, Prof. Udo Hoffmann and Prof. Pal Maurovich-Horvat. This Topical Issue is based on a number of invited overview manuscripts plus original research. Herewith we invite you to submit high quality original research. Submitted manuscripts will undergo the regular peer review process.

Please submit your contribution via the online submission system by selecting the appropriate article type “Original article” or “Review article”. During the submission procedure you will be able to indicate that your article belongs to the special issue “CT Plaque Burden”.
